[personal profile] doubledollar
[ the video feed starts off with the camera pointed towards what looks to be a starry sky. It's broken up by visible structures that hold up the dome-like ceiling that reveals the infinite, endless sky of the universe above, and as the camera slowly pans down to show that it's the inside of some high-tech ship. Tubing and metal columns that feed dozens of mechanical wires down into piercing white, but blank computer screens settle on the sides of what looks like an opened-up navigation room. Flickering on and off above the complicated machinery that was clearly only meant for space travel were the image of dozens of ships, and planetary bodies that are hard--if not impossible to put a name on.

But as the camera pans down furthur, from the navigation panel and all the high-tech computer stuff... the floor of the large room feeds into something different. A wide, grassy plain that's got all manner of trees and plant life now growing up and mingling with the machinery. Flowers and curling plants, even little berry bushes with mainly red-tinged petals and fruit hang on the well-kept branches, down to where the inhabitant of this very odd, half-nature, half-spaceship is sitting. It's a ... ....really unflattering view that's nearly up his nose until he rights the screen. ]

I've had my share of weird dreams before, but this is a new one.

[ spoken like a man who truly thinks there's noone listening in on the other side of the call. noone is ever listening when he sends his broadcasts out through old Lost Technology, why would this be any different.]

A ship like this won't go anywhere, but at least it's nice to look at. A guy could probably waste his life on a view like that, huh.

[ the camera pans up again, and it's like the stars are... moving. As if the dreamspace he's created is actively moving through space, through an impossible ship made of metal and dirt.]

If I make a recording of it, maybe I'll be able to remember it once I wake up. I wouldn't be so lucky, though, don't you think.

A little lonely to be on a spaceship by yourself, though. --A, Ack!!

[ and the feed tumbles, as vash drops his star pendant down from where he'd been using it to pan down over his nimbus, the new surroundings apparently created from his own mind. The angle is odd, but one can see him peeling a spider off the side of his neck, shooing it off into a tree with an unsettled sigh under his breath. ]

No accounting for bugs being travel companions, though. They're just not talkative enough.
